Truth in advertising
Just noticed a new addition to the RF web site: "All the words, graphics, and numbers herein are for purposes of illustration only. Developer is describing its current intentions and not promising that any of the properties or amenities listed will be built"
That's a pretty broad statement which doesn't make me feel all warm and fuzzy.
My guess is maybe this was added because of the demise of the golf course after touting it to potential buyers who bought just for that reason and now want out.
...and it could serve to indemnify them in the event that the dispute over the ROP land is not resolved favorably making it impossible to build whatever is supposed to be there. Just a thought.
"..this is something that we have always known that we needed to have in all of our sales literature. Something to the effect that this wasn’t an offer in any state or place that we weren’t registered. It is all of those legal disclaimers that we are now putting in our sales brochures as well.
"We would have done this since the beginning but our original legal counsel did not think it necessary since we were only selling in Panama. We were selling TOURS in the States, but that is it, we were not selling PROPERTY in the states.
"With our recent legal battle over some land, our US counsel advised that we do this now and hence you see it now on the website. But this does not in any way diminish our intentions to do all that we have been saying all along."

I see it as positive. Maybe they are getting more financing. Any responsible investor would want these changes.

Scott Harris said this about the disclaimer:

Thanks, Scott!
